Fertility, that is, the human ability to reproduce, is a multifactorial "condition". Many factors can affect it, such as age, the woman's genetic make-up, sperm quality, etc. However, there are often couples who, despite the investigations carried out, have no specific cause of infertility, yet the desired result, that is conception, does not come.
It is well known that stress is one of the factors that affects the functioning of the body's systems, perhaps to a different degree and in a different way for each person. Besides the cardiovascular and nervous systems, recent studies support the view that it also affects the reproductive systems of men and women. For these couples, therefore, an alternative approach to preparing for and supporting physical and mental health may have beneficial results. Exercise, diet, acupuncture, and yoga with simple guided meditation and breathing techniques can reverse the effects that anxiety has on the body and on fertility. They effectively contribute to mental and psychological preparation for pregnancy and motherhood. The holistic approach does not replace but prepares and complements the methods of assisted reproduction of classical medicine, in a natural and non-invasive way, removing mental and emotional blocks in the effort to conceive and freeing from fears and guilt about fertility, pregnancy, motherhood and the process of childbirth.
