Tubal factor is the most common cause of infertility in women. HyFoSy (ultrasound foam test) is an ultrasound-based examination using a special foam; it is carried out in an outpatient clinic and does not require anaesthesia. It has significant advantages over classic hysterosalpingography because:

- it involves no radiation

- it is painless (no analgesia required)

- the foam does not cause allergic reactions

- it lasts only 5-7 minutes

It provides important information about the patency of the fallopian tubes and the choice of the appropriate treatment
